1. All weddings much be scheduled on the church calendar on a first-come, first-serve basis. Every room to be used must be scheduled in advance.
2. Typically, the pastor at AUMC will be used to officiate. However, another ordained minister may be used, but must consult personally with the AUMC pastor before planning takes place.
3. A custodial fee, as well as a wedding consultant's fee, will be charged on all weddings.
4. Rice and birdseed will not be used on teh church grounds. Bubble soap is suggested as a substitute.
5. Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted in any activity on the premises.
6. Any ogranist, pianist, or musician may be used. The wedding couple is responsable for securing and coordinating their own musician.
7. Still photography and videotaping during teh ceremony will be at the discretion of the wedding couple and minister. Audio recording is also permitted.
8. Any decorations attached to the pews, altar rails, or furniture must be attached in a manner which in no way scars or damages the finish. Nails and tacks are not permitted.
9. Except for Unity Candles, dripless candles may be used and are strongly suggested. Protective plastic coverings must be used under all candelabras and Unity Candles.
10. Immediately after the wedding activities, decorations (rented and personal) must be removed and furnishings returned to their original locations. Picking up flower petals, paper trash, and cleaning up all the food used is the responsibility of the wedding party. Trash will be bagged and carried to the outside dumpster. The custodian will do the fine-cleaning, but general cleaning and pick up is the wedding party's responsability.
11. While church members and there immediate families (i.e. spouses and/or children and grandchildren) are not charged for the use od the facilities, donations toward the cost of utilities will be appreciated. Church members and families are responsible for custodial fees and church representative fees.
12.The pastor may modify or waive the mentioned fees (below) if circumstances warrant such action.
13.There are tables and chairs available for use in the Fellowship Hall for receptions. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are strickly prohibited, however. Receptions must be kept to two (2) hours maximum, unless prior arrangements are made. There will be a $20 per hour extra charge for receptions exceeding 2 hours.
